Formed in 1992, the Air Mobility Command (AMC) is tasked with enhancing the mobility and effectiveness of America's Armed Forces.

Providing American forces with the capacity to respond rapidly and decisively to crisis situations anywhere in the world, the AMC is an essential element of America's global defense strategy. Conducting airlift, material logistics, aerial refueling, and medical evacuation missions, the Air Mobility Command has played a pivotal role in increasing the range and flexibility of the U.S. Military.
